And yes, those do appear to be two different dye-lots, though they were all purchased at the same wool and fiber fair with my lovely Aunt. However, I think the modulation of colour adds to the charm.

The smooth and glossy shawl pin is hand-carved manzanita clearly crafted with loving care by Steven Elder of South4th Woodcraft (http://www.south4th.com/).

I didn’t really mean to make the finished shawl 8′ long, but I’m sure I’ll be grateful for the length come lake effect snow season.
